Laser Liposuction Prices

Laser Liposuction prices differ based on the different markets that American Lipo Centers has.

In our Northern Virginia market, we charge based on the number of areas of the abdomen of which there are three main areas: the upper abdomen, the lower abdomen and the “flanks” or love handles. In Northern Virginia we usually charge $2500 per area or $7500 for all three areas of the abdomen and love handles. With our discounted promotion, our price for laser liposuction is as low as $3200 for the 3 areas of the abdomen. We charge extra for the compression garment (this is priced “at cost” for the patient). This price is obviously very competitive when compared with the $5000-$7000 price quotes you will likely get for liposuction and tumescent liposuction from other qualified surgeons in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.

In our Dallas market, we normally charge $2500 per area of the abdomen for laser liposuction which works out to a total cost of $7500 normally for laser liposuction of the abdomen and love handles but with our current promotion we charge as low as $3000 for the 3 areas of the abdomen.

How To Choose a Liposuction Center

Most of us don’t have a lot of experience in evaluating different cosmetic surgeons and making an educated choice about which liposuction center to choose. Here are some tips on what factors to use in determining the best choice for you:

1) General vs Local Anesthesia: Traditional Liposuction uses general anesthesia where the patient is completely unconscious whereas Tumescent Liposuction and Laser Liposuction use local anesthesia where the patient is awake. Often, although the patient is awake, they are given oral Valium and pain pills to help relax the patient. If you have a very low pain threshold and have the budget to pay the extra $2000 for a surgery center and an anesthesiologist , then general anesthesia may be the route for you. General anesthesia has a higher risk to the patient. Most of our patients choose local anesthesia which is less expensive, much safer, and for most patients they do just fine with local anesthesia.

2) What kind of Liposuction do I need (tumescent, traditional, laser liposuction, vaser liposuction?): There are many types of liposuction these days, but they are broken into two categories based on the type of anesthesia used (discussed above). Traditional Liposuction is done under general anesthesia. All other types of liposuction are usually done under local anesthesia (or conscious sedation). Tumescent liposuction is liposuction done under local anesthesia. Vaser and Laser Liposuction (internal laser liposuction) are subsets of Tumescent liposuction.

3) What are the two types of Laser Liposuction?

External Laser Liposuction only uses a laser on top of the skin. The External Laser Liposuction options are Coolsculpting and Zerona. These are completely non-invasive techniques to remove fat, but they are significantly less effective than internal laser liposuction procedures (because they don’t actually suction out the unwanted fat).

Internal Laser Liposuction is a subset of Tumescent Liposuction. Some examples of Internal Laser Liposuction options include Slimlipo, Smartlipo, and other similar lasers. With Internal Laser Liposuction there are tiny skin incisions and after numbing the area, the surgeon will enter into the subcutaneous fat layer and use the laser cannula in that area. After the fat is liquefied and the skin is tightened the fat will be suctioned and removed.

Internal Laser Liposuction is much more effective than External Laser Liposuction because the laser cannula is making more direct contact with the subcutaneous fat and because the liquefied fat is actually suctioned out and removed from the body.

4) How do I choose a Liposuction Center? First of all, please do not simply call every lipo center on Google and ask them their price and choose the lowest price. This may work in shopping for a flat screen TV, but price comparison shopping is not the way to choose a cosmetic surgeon. Of course, you should find a center that fits your budget, but only after you’ve determined that you’ve found an experienced surgeon who has done a lot of liposuction.

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

The Brazilian Butt Lift sometimes is done by placing implants into the buttocks, but we prefer the surgical technique of not placing implants, but instead placing fat that is transferred from your own body.

The Brazilian Butt Lift technique can be done in many different ways. It is important to choose an experienced surgeon because the technique can impact both the result and the duration of your results. Are You a Good Candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery?

The Brazilian Butt Lift extraction of fat begins with liposuction, then we process the fat, and then we re-inject the fat. We remove fat from wherever you may have unwanted fat (usually the belly and love handles.

We then re-inject the fat and place it throughout the buttocks with special emphasis on the uppers quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt appears lifted. The resulting effect is that your buttocks look larger, more rounded and lifted.

Does CoolSculpting Work?

Why you should think twice before getting Coolsculpting to remove fat.

There are two major sub-types of laser liposuction procedures:

External Laser Liposuction and Internal Laser Liposuction. Coolsculpting is an example of external laser liposuction, whereas Smartlipo is an example of Internal Laser Liposuction.

Does Coolsculpting actually remove fat?

Coolsculpting and other external laser liposuction procedures don’t actually remove fat; they just use laser energy on top of your skin. While it is slightly better placebo (doing nothing at all), studies have shown that external laser liposuction such as Coolsculpting is not very effective.

Why is Internal Laser Lipo more effective?

Smartlipo and other types of internal laser liposuction procedures are much more effective because they actually suction out liquefied fat and remove it from the body. Smartlipo and similar laser liposuction techniques are far more effective at fat removal than Coolsculpting.

Not happy with your Coolsculpting results?

1) When can I go back to work?

Most patients who have jobs that aren’t overly physically active can return to work within two days; they take the next day off of work and are back to work the following day. Friday is a great day to do the procedure as you will have all weekend to feel better and than you should be able to return to work by Monday without having to take a lot of time off of work

2) How long do I wear the compression garment?

We recommend wearing the compression garment (which looks and feels like Spanx) after the procedure for 3 weeks 24/7 and then 3 weeks just at night; don’t worry the garment fits nicely underneath clothing and no one will know you are wearing it, just like when you wear Spanx

3) How long will I need to take the pain medications?

Normally, patients that the pain medications for only a few days and then quickly switch over to taking Ibuprofen. You won’t need pain meds for a long time, but you may be a little sore for a week or so, as if you did a vigorous workout.

4) Will I need a ride home from surgery?

Laser Liposuction Review about American Lipo Centers

I am Military male and needed to lose a couple inches to maintain tape standards. I workout everyday but unable to lose the fat on my flanks. I googled a lipo center and this was the first one to pop up and showed there was a discount availiable. I called for an appointment, which was next day.

The initial appointment was easy. They had me lose my shirt in the office to look at my fat I wanted to get rid of, which they said I was a good candidate for LaserLipo. I did paperwork and booked my appointments.

Two months later, Today, I had my surgery. Military mission dictated the reason for the long wait for surgery. The surgery was uncomfortable pain wise, but nothing extreme.

They gave me the outer garment and girdle and now I am recovering.

So far, I have no complaints on the process of the office administrators or the Doctor whom performed the surgery, nurse was nice and easy on the eyes.

I am overjoyed with the results of my liposuction! Dr. Gilad Segev and Dr. Hamwi at American Lipo Centers are fantastic!

I was nervous to undergo Smart Lipo, it was something I had thought about but didn’t follow through on. Until now, Dr. Segev provided the initial assessment and cautioned on what to expect after the initial procedures. There is some pain involved but nothing that prevented me from doing my daily routine.

One week after the procedure I was out running 1-3 miles 3 days a week and getting ready to do my first 5K of 2015.
The results are better than I expected and every day I see change as the swelling has decreased. So far I have dropped 1 full clothing size. I now wear a 10 and can also fit in some size 8 clothing.

I had a series of six procedures over a three month period. After the first procedure friends and family were wowed by how slender I looked. My hips and abdomen were flatter and I felt better about my appearance.

Then I decided on a second set of procedures thinned my calfs and bra line. After three weeks once the swelling decreased along with minimal bruising those areas were taking shape. My last procedures included the flanks and thighs. Through it all I kept an optimistic attitude and was loving the differences I was observing.

The changes have been gradual and constant with my body contours continuing to change. It’s been four months since those first procedures and I don’t regret deciding to do this for myself.

I believe that entering Dr Segev’s office for that first consultation with an open mind played an important part in my recovery. Listening to Dr. Segev’s suggestions and follow -up care instructions made my recovery go smoothly. I followed the post-op instructions wore the garment and binder as prescribed.

The staff has been great! They were friendly and reassuring during pre-op and post-op. They reviewed post op instructions, and answered any questions I had.

Would I do it again? Yes I would!

I recommend Dr. Segev: he is an amazing surgeon and has a calming manner that put me at ease during the procedures.

I had my laser lipo procedure done here over 6 months ago. 2 of my other friends also came her and referred me. I have to say the office is clean and very nicely set for a medical office. The staff was tremendous help. Very professional. The Dr. was very resourceful and experienced. He knew what he was talking and knew the what type of side affects or down time I will receive. I was a size 12 and 6 months later with proper eating and working out I was able to wear a size 6. It’s a life changing procedure worth every dollar I spent.

I have to say I had to think about this procedure and made sure it was right for me before doing the procedure. When I did my consultation, they made sure that my expectations were not to high. The expectation they gave me is maybe a size 10 and 3lb of fat loss.

I recommend this procedure for anyone who have trouble spots, and who are looking to have start up in new healthier life style such as working out and eating healthy.

I wish I could give a higher rating and I mean that! The staff UHmazing from start to finish. They answered all of my questions and made me super comfortable. I spoke with Kara in sales a day before my actual appointment because I was in a rush to have it done before an upcoming trip. Not only did they squeeze me in, but I was able to have the procedure done in the same week! I was freaking out (as anyone would) about almost everything and were cool about it. The day of the procedure, everything was explained in detail. During the procedure Dr. Jones and I talked about Beyonce, my move to LA and more. The nurse asked over and over again if I was OK. how I was feeling, if I were having any pain and even rubbed my hand and arm frequently. Dr. Jones also frequently asked my comfort level, added more numbing when needed, stood me up to check how I looked and juts overall awesome. I just had my procedure done during Thanksgiving break. I did my my stomach area and my hips. I am seeing really good results. I ran into a few relatives and friends during this Christmas and New Years break and they kept asking me what I did to myself. The nurse and other staffers were all very professional and compassionate. They were very detailed in explaining the benefits and very short down time needed after the surgery. I am still wearing my compression spanks. I know I don’t need to wear it any longer, but talking to others it is best to wear it as long as I can to continue to shape my body.

I actually did it! I have been debating for a long time whether I should do it because the videos on youtube made me nervous especially being awake for it. I did my research online and looked at their reviews and photos at their website found myself being comfortable with them after talking to them. The staff is friendly and informative.The lady I was talking to about scheduling a procedure explained the entire process. I also met with the doctor and was really friendly and explained what he thought he can achieve with my skin tone. After thinking about it, I signed up for lipo the next week.

The night before the procedure, I was really anxious. The most pain I ever felt in my life was when I had my wisdom teeth removed and that was not fun. My procedure was at 7am so I got there are 6am like they asked me to. The nurse had me sign additional papers as she set up the room. When she finally said she was ready for me to follow her into the room, I was so nervous! She brought me into a room that was small, but very clean. The nurse had me change into a paper gown and paper panties. She took my vitals, weight, and photos. I think she gave me the medicine 15 minutes before they started.

The doctor had me stand up and he marked the areas I wanted done and asked me if he marked the right areas. The doctor said he needed to give me a couple shots like the ones at the dentist office for the incisions. The pain from the shot was quick, but it felt like it pinched a lot.

And then he inserted an instrument to numb me more. Then they used this vibrating machine to suction out the fat. It felt like a deep massage and it also pinched in some areas once in a while. I felt a sharp pain that made me jerk so they numbed that area more. I don’t think I could’ve done it without the nurse. She rubbed my arm, held my hand, and reminded me to breathe! The doctor was great and talked with me to help me feel calm. The doctor had me stand up a couple times so he can see where he was at and if he needed to take more out. After the procedure, the nurse covered me up with pads helped me into a very tight garment that really compressed my skin! She also explained how to wear the garment and when to take my next set of medicine.

I had to change out my pads every two hours because I had a lot of pinkish-red drainage that night. When the numbing medicine wore off, that was when I started to feel sore and uncomfortable. My pain meds helped out a lot. The next day, I was swollen and there were some bruising. On day two, I had so much bruising. The doctor said that would be normal and not to worry about it and will go away. I still am tender and there are some pain in some areas, but I can say I was most comfortable to do normal activities on day three. It’s been a couple of weeks and I can already see results!

Factors effecting Laser Liposuction Results

Laser Liposuction – Am I a Good Candidate?

These are important factors that we use to determine if you are a good candidate for laser liposuction:

1) Skin Elasticity: Multiple pregnancies and weight fluctuations can cause the skin to lose some of its elasticity (springs in the skin). Loose skin will see some improvement from the laser component of the laser liposuction, but it can’t offset a significant amount of looseness. If you have loose skin, you may want to consider a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) or a mini tummy tuck

2) BMI: Patients who have a BMI of larger than 35 may not be great candidates for liposuction. At our practice American Lipo Centers, we will sometimes perform liposuction in some of our offices on patients with BMI’s that are higher, but this depends on the surgeon’s preferences and the patient’s skin tone; If you have a BMI larger than 35, you may want to consider loosing some weight and then doing liposuction

Liposuction May Reduce Triglycerides

Liposuction may do more than just slim down your waistline — it might also help your heart, a medical study suggests.

Within three months of the liposuction surgery, patients’ triglyceride levels had dropped an average of 43 percent, according to a report presented at an annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in Denver.

Triglycerides, fats in the blood, have been linked in other studies to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease.

I’m getting married in July of 2015. I thought this would be a great time to get some help with toning up in preparation for the wedding. I had smart lipo on my upper and lower abdomen, flanks, and bra strap area. It has been 3 weeks and I look amazing! And to hear that I’m still healing and there’s potential for me to look even better. I’m so pleased with my results. The fact that the results take time to show is great since the wedding is a few months away. During the procedure I was so nervous but nurse Ana held my hand throughout the entire time. Dr. Jones was thorough in trying to make sure she took out as much fat as possible and made sure everything was even. Her attention to detail made me feel good. I also had multiple calls after the procedure from the doctor and the office staff checking up on me. During my follow-up appointments, they still made me feel like I was a valued customer. I’m so extremely excited for my wedding and how great I will look. Thanks ALC!!!!!

They did a great job! At first I was skeptical because it was first time getting any time of procedure. The staff at American Lipo Centers in Alexandria were very helpful and consistent before, during and after the procedure. One of the workers even comforted me by holding my hand during the procedure. I lost 2-3 inches of my waist line and I’m very happy with my results! Be sure to check them out!

The experiences I had with American Lipo Centers in Alexandria, was nothing less than perfect. I felt very comfortable the very first time I visited Dr. Segev office; it was very clean, modern and classy. The initial visit, talking to Dr. Segev, the staff members, and the reviews online made me feel even more comfortable with going forward with my plans. As a newly member of Dr. Segev patient listing, and a newly member of the procedure laser liposuction, I’m very pleased with my results. I have only one thing to say about the friendly, care free way, Dr. Miracle (Segev) and his staffs handle my outpatient stay. I felt like I was in good hands, and it was an experience I would recommend to all my friends and family members without hesitation, everything workout great!!!!!

I work in the healthcare industry and must admit I was a bit skeptical about being awake during the procedure. All skepticism was put to rest by Dr. Segev and his great team! It’s true the procedure did tickle! There was some discomfort but nothing that was unbearable. ALC recommended the massage after the procedure which was incredible. I’ll never be supermodel thin but Dr. Segev literally gave me the jump start that I need to reclaim my health and my life. If you are on the fence about ALC rest assured they will take care of you!

I am highly satisfied with my fat transfer I had done by Dr. Hamwi at the Alexandria location of American Lipo Centers. The staff is super friendly. I had a lot of questions before my procedure and Kara was very helpful answering them all. The nurse during my procedure was also very nice and made sure I feel comfortable and relaxed for my procedure. Dr. Hamwi was very professional and not only did I not feel any pain, but I felt as if I was being tickled at times. I am very happy with my results and would do the procedure all over again.

American Lipo Centers in Washington D.C performed my procedure of upper/ lower stomach and flanks 8 weeks ago. I’m very pleased with my results the procedure was done very fast and pain free, the nurse that assisted the doctor is awesome.

I would recommend these doctors and nurses to my family and friends without a second thought. The only thing in the procedure that I would have changed would be Kara Egber the appointment lady would have had to hold my hand like she promised, (kidding) they are a wonderful group of people who make you feel relaxed and check up on your wellbeing constantly.

I was very nervous about getting Lipo, so much so it made my blood pressure go up, but Dr. Segev and the staff at American Lipo Centers in Alexandria are so professional, patient, kind and just good people, they made my experience a really good one. There was a part during the procedure Im almost embarrassed to admit even tickled and they had to see why I was laughing. I drove from Richmond to have the work done there and it was well worth the drive, I am already wearing clothes I haven’t worn in years and looking great in them. If you want a great job done by great people then this is where you will want to go and the music is good too.

I’ve seen many of the works performed by other doctors and I have to say this one of the best in the area. My experience was great! I absolutely loved the staff and the work that was performed. I used to feel so insecure of wearing clothes that I liked, even the ones in my closet looked good on me but now they look even better! I can go out wearing tighter shirts, I can even wear a two piece swimsuit and not worry about my flanks being bigger than my bottom, hahaha. If you’re thinking of getting a procedure done by American Lipo Centers then don’t think about it anymore:) DO IT!! You will look amazing therefore feel more confident! I like things fast, and with laser lipo you WILL get results FAST!

My personal tip if you’re going to get the procedure done: BE POSITIVE! Don’t go in thinking it will hurt, or you won’t like the pain. Because I ended up laughing and getting tickled throughout the whole procedure 🙂 and good luck!!
